| 10/05/2006 The Focus is extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room for five adults and more than sufficient leg and head room. A driving position which adjusts for rake and reach, coupled with power steering, means parking is a breeze. Some models benefit from electrically adjustable seats. All models come with electric font windows and mirrors while the LX also gets air conditioning. The Zetec boasts a sporty look and excellent suspension and is surpassed only by the Ghia model which has climate and cruise control along with automatic wipers and headlights. For those who want to drive in the lap of luxury, the Titanium model gains partial leather and sports seats and a wide-ranging options list. Petrol engine models range from 1.4 to 2.0 litres, all of which provide adequate power, however the base 1.4 model is slightly lacking. The three diesels â 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre are all fairly quiet and provide comparable power. A five-speed gearbox is standard across the range except on the 2.0 turbodiesel which comes with a six-speed option. Handling is excellent and the car benefits from responsive steering and advanced suspension. The Ford Focus Hatchback is available from £10,995 new in car insurance groups four to ten.
